list poem-India

Droughts and flash floods
Thunderstorms and earthquakes
teeming with infectious diseases
Only ten years of expected education
How can they hope to change?
Slums adjacent to high rises
Telemarketers leave work
Return to their tin roof homes wth burlap beds
Consume meals spiced with cardamom with their families
An area populated for over two thousand years
With a life expectancy under seventy
Progression is unknown

poem

The mind is a bazaar
Words flow throughout its pathways
Foul-stenched to be verbs are bought only by little children
Lumbered away by the more complex cerebral cortex
Who prefers vivid beautiful descriptions
Along with the occassional insomniac who comes stumbling from a dark alleyway
Their purchases grow
Until pen is put to paper
And the embodiment of the goods creates a work of art
Formally known as a poem

billboard

I would place my billboard on the corner of 41 and Victoria Street, right by St. Francis. This would make it easy to be seen by children who can understand the simple drawings and message. Also, that intersection is seen by many commuters everyday, and I believe the message of not selling yourself out for money cannot be stretched enough in today's society.
